Question regarding install of my Enviro M55 cast

Hey guys,

I am going to be installing my pellet stove in my house and I have vaulted ceilings. But I had the electrician put in a 20 amp outlet and designated plug for a future pellet stove. I got my Enviro m55 cast iron on sale and currently in a small dilemma, Straight up from where my stove location is will put the chimney 2 ft left of the point on my roof. (so the chimney will be visible from the road and front yard eww) I want to put in a say 20* bend to the right and a short 2ft peice and another 20* bend to the left and it will come out 2ft from the point of roof and be on the back side.

Can i do that and not screw up my airflow? ill include a quick Microsoft paint doodle lol

How tall will the total venting be? Do you have outside air kit capability (strongly recommended)? With new house construction, this could be a big factor.

I would think the the indoor visual aesthetics of the elbows and two foot section would trouble me more than seeing the venting on the front slope of the roof. I would have the preference of out the back and up. No ability to reposition at floor level to accommodate the shift? Might be helpful to have photos of your space...

No the elbows will be in the attic unseen. My ceilings are 9ft ceilings but my attic is much higher. I need to take a picture but I'm at work at the moment

By the baskets in the carpeted area? Have a plan for the hearth?

With the shift in the attic, is your local building/fire dept. OK with your proposed plan (firestops, etc)? Insurance company?

Venting EVL should be OK but not sure on the availability of 20* elbows. I have seen 15*, 30*, 45* elbows... Elbows will make sweeping the vent a bit more difficult.

Im not sure on the local fire dept but i dont see why it would be a issue there

Fire Dept. and/or building inspector often inspects installation so it complies with building code and NFPA 211. Insurance may want a copy of that approved and inspected permit.
