Please I have googled and searched, maybe I'm just dumb.

Installing a heatmaster this summer.....I want to run 1 1/4 pipe, dealer sells 1inch but I read it's to small for a 100ft run. Is this true?

Second, does anyone know the OD of the thermopex both 1 1/4 and 1inch piping to be able to bore a hole the correct size in basement wall.

Lastly, I will be running across my driveway(gravel) about 40-50ft worth how far down should I burry? No semi trucks or anything, just cars and trucks(12-15k with my trailer fully loaded at times) anything bigger in future would be a once in a blue moon thing say a flatbed when I replace the roof but even then have enough room to keep them away if need be.

Thank you guys this site is the best.

The 1-1/4” pex is around 1-1/16” I.D.

I wouldn’t consider using the 1” (3/4” I.D.) unless I had a very small heat load and short distance. And I’d still probably use the 1-1/4”.

My 1-1/4” Rehau insulated pipe is 4-1/2” O.D. I think most brands are close to the same.

Bury it 4’ deep and backfill around the pipe with sand if you have rocky soil and you should be good to go. Some people put a casing around the pipe at driveways but I think 4’ puts you well into safety; it’s tough stuff. Have some help because it’s a big angry stubborn snake. Measure very accurately and don’t skimp at curves and bends because you don’t want to run short.
