Turns out the insurance company only gave me one side of the pellet stove questionnaire. Had another 10 or so questions to answer, only one I have a question about:

Is the Harman Accentra FS considered to be a "top feeder" or a "bottom feeder"?

Many thanks in advance.

Did some quick searching on the site...looks like it is a bottom feeder.

Would very much appreciate if someone would verify this?

Oh, that's curious. I really don't know but my thought is that it is a top feeder. I dump the pellets in the top of the stove, doh??!!

Yeah...that was my first thinking too.

Do you know of any residential pellet stove you dump the fuel in the bottom?

The bottom feed means (at least what I gathered later from other threads) that the pellets are "pushed up" into the burn pot, rather than "dropped into" from above. This is why the Harmans are a bit easier to maintain, the ashes are effectively pushed out of the burn pot by the addition of new pellets behind. I think.

It's a bottom feeder. It pushes the pellets into the burn pot. A top feeder has a tube above the pot that drops the pellets into it. All Harman's are bottom feeders.
