This link is to a column in the local paper where he extolls the virtues of various wood burning appliances . . . I did feel compelled to send him a letter.
Corrected his statement that manufacturers "stopped using catalytic converters" . . . I pointed out that while many have gone away from the cats, there are several well known manufacturers who continue to use cats with great success.
Argued his contention that pellet stoves are a "vast improvement over the wood stove" . . . I suggested that while wood stoves may not be for everyone, neither are pellet stoves and that rather, that some people will favor pellet stoves over wood stoves and some folks will do just the opposite depending on what they're looking for in terms of alternative heat.
