The caulk / sealer in the hopper of our Harman Accentra insert is starting to look a little rough in some spots. I'm thinking of removing all of the existing sealer and re-doing it with high temp silicone before heating season really starts. It looks like it will be a fairly basic, but time consuming chore.

Anyone have any tips or pointers before I tear into it?

I would think you could use regular silicone. Its good to about 400 degrees and the hopper gets no where near that temp.
