Question:
We have been looking at gas stoves to provide extra heat to a room addition. In our situation we can use either ventless or direct vent easily. We've have heard pros and cons about ventless. If you had a choice which type would you prefer for safety and efficiency. Your opinion would be appreciated.
Answer:
If you are able to vent the stove, you should go with a direct vent. You'll have less issues to deal with..and be able to use the stove more often without concern.<p>
If installation of the vent is a big problem- and if you only intend to use the stove a few hours here and there..then the vent free gas stove would be fine. Make certain you get a unit that is properly sized (NOT oversize)
