im having some issues with my stove shutting down when I put in pellets.

I opened up the control panel box and the hopper switch appears to be just lying inside.

Can anyone advise if the hopper switch should be just laying inside the box that houses the control panel?

Doesn’t seem right to me...

Thank you sir, I really appreciate the tech manual. I only have the owners manual. This is a big help.

The magnet is present and I’m working thru the other checks. The stove is pretty clean but I’m going to do a Cleaning now as well.
Maybe an air port is not venting properly...
Will see.
It was running fine prior to me taking longer than usual to fill it last night.

Will update in a bit...

Found the issue...
The hopper switch was not connected to the panel. It was just lying in the box which would not allow it to send a signal.
Pics below:
The first pic shows it lying in the box.
The second shows the circuit board hole where the switch should be connected.
The third shows the plastic but still in place.
The fourth and fifth shows the switch reattached.
The final two end the job.

My guess is that the switch was never attached to the circuit board because there’s no way it could have turned in it’s hole and loosened because of the wires. It’s always been buggy and now I know why.
