Regency e21 will not ignite

Hello,

I am new to this forum and hoping for some guidance. I have a Regency E21 gas fireplace which will not ignite this season. I started pilot light fine however when I click on button nothing happens. Last winter I had some trouble as well however it always started on second try. This time around nothing.

One question & I'm not busting your chops....Is the OFF-PILOT-ON knob in the ON position?
If yes, then try jumping the TH & TH-TP terminals with a short wire or a paper clip. Let us know if it ignites...
