Had the stove for 3 years and I have been buying fire wood which as been small split logs and stove had been great. Last night I used a very large fire log I split my self mixed with my usual smaller splits and the results are amazing. I filled the stove last nigh at 7:40pm kept house warm for 15 hours with outside temps 20 f overnight.
