In case no one knows NYS has an $18,000.000 grant to replace old inefficient wood or pellet stoves with new low emissions pellet stoves. Anyone regardless of income with a stove to recycle gets $1500.00 off the new stove. If you're income eligible you get $2500.00 off the cost. There are only about 40 stoves that qualify but the program usually cost 700.00 to $800.00 for a new one installed. And the rebate is instant.

Then you have to figure out your county and find the max income (number living in house increases total income) before you can claim a credit.
How can any pellet stove be "inefficient" ?
