Replacing glass on VC Resolute Acclaim 2490?

Howdy! Just bought a used VC Resolute Acclaim 2490, and I've been cleaning and replacing parts as needed. I think the glass window has a front and a back--does anyone know how I can tell which way it's supposed to face? Along the bottom on one side there are etchings which read "CV+". When I got the stove, the "CV+" side was facing inside the firebox. The directions read to replace "with the marked side of the glass panel facing the gasket," which would be facing the outside for this stove. Maybe the previous owner had replaced the glass facing the wrong direction?

Thanks in advance for your collective advice and expertise...
