Replacing propane vented gas logs

Our home was built in 201 3 and we had propane vented gasoline installed. They produce little no no visible flame (even had the gas company come adjust them) and they are just worthless for ambience much less heat.
I really want to enjoy a fire, for the heat but even moreso for the visual appeal.
The fireplace is inserted into the wall and is stone from floor to ceiling.
The question is, can I have the current propane vented logs replaced with either ventless or new vented logs that will produce a beautiful fire?
We requested a step up from builder grade when building the home and paid for a "nice" set of logs, but didn't know until the customer home was complete that the logs just don't produce a flame!

Can you post a pic of the flames & tell us what manufacturer & model gas log set you have?

We never turn it on anymore since it has literally a 1 inch flame!! I tried to light it this past week and I could not get it to light. Tried for about 10 minutes straight!
The brand is superior - but I don't see a model associated on any of the labels on it.

Make sure the fireplace is indeed a LP rated and not a natural gas fireplace!

Make sure the fireplace is indeed a LP rated and not a natural gas fireplace!

The only gas we have in the gouse is for the cook top and the gas logs. The brand is Superior Model SLDVT-40. From the manual it appears that the installation and care instruction manuals show both gas types for this model. There is a sticker inside the door where you light the pilot light that says this unit has been converted to Liquid Propane Gas. (See attached).

I think that the logs might not be placed correctly. I don't know if that would cause them not to put out heat or to have a barely noticeable flame. The image in the installation manual looks like the back log on the left (when facing the logs) is cocked up and angled. But if you look at the photo of my actual logs it looks parallel to the bottom logs and perfectly in line. Would that make a difference?

I didn't know that the gas company would adjust the gas pressure (post number one) on the appliance. Maybe they just adjusted it to the whole house?

Adjust the pressure at the fireplace gas control is what you would want checked.

Maybe its time to hire some service tech from a stove/fireplace company as there would be other variables that could affect flame performance.

Is venting obstructed?
