Rock wool supports: Empire Rushmore 50” fireplace.

Installing an Empire Rushmore 50” direct vent fireplace. It comes with a couple of bags and rock wool and several steel mesh rectangular “cages” they call rock wool support. Unfortunately they are not mentioned or shown except under the included parts.
Any idea where or how they go.

The supports probably cover the burner tubes in order to keep the rock wool “embers” from blocking the burner ports.

Thanks. Doesn't seem like enough of them but I suspect you are right. Waiting to hear from the company as dealer didn't know either

Typically the rock wool gets placed over some of the smaller burner ports and strategically placed near(but not covering) the larger burner ports. In your case, the front burner tube is probably where most of it would be placed.
