Just installed the stove and did the first burn (pictures to be posted soon) in stove temp mode. Very easy to understand stove temp mode.

Question about the room temp mode. In the user manual and the DVD explains to hang sensors 6 high and 20 feet away. My XXV only came with a 5 foot sensor probe that plugs into the back of the stove. So am I missing something?

what they mean is you can put the Probe " up to" 20 ft away from the Stove..Buying extra wire to connect to original probe accomplishes this.
some do this to put the probe in an ajoining room but most have it in the same room as the stove with the original 5 ft wire.

That said, put it at least 4 feet off the floor[ keeps the probe from picking up drafts]..
Ours [Harman P61A] is rolled up and ductaped to the back of the Pellet hopper just peeking out at the top back of the Hopper But,
you can fasten it to a wall or whatever... preferably not an Exterior wall.. "Outside wall".
A little expirimenting and you will find the sweet spot for your house..
But maybe not in July....
