Sachs Dolmar133

What would you place the value of one of these Sachs-Dolmar 133 saws at?
It has about a 40" bar with a new chain on it, runs good. It's in good shape for an older saw. Has great compression.
What's a good ball park figure to ask for it?

Yee haw. A very nice one recently sold on eBay for $399, but that was a Buy It Now price and it might've gone for more if it had been listed as an auction. Another one that was pretty but had potentially significant mechanical problems went for $281 plus shipping. I'd guess it's worth somewhere in the range of $400-600, but you'll probably have to use eBay or an enthusiast's forum to find a buyer willing to pay that much.

Also, if you do advertise it online with the idea of shipping it to some distant buyer, remember that having plenty of excellent pictures is critical. Clean the saw up and shoot pics in good light with a decent camera, using a tripod if you can. Pull the muffler and take a picture of the piston, too.

Thanks for the info. I did an online search and came up with nothing. I just bought it at an estate sale on a whim. When I saw that big bar I had to have it!
I got it home, it started right up, I made one cut with it just to see how it does, then I set it with the rest of my saws. I really only use my Stihl for everything, I very rarely use any of the others. But for some reason, I just cant seem to pass up a good deal, or even sell one of mine.
I was talking to a man the other day about buying one of his older Ford trucks when he told me that he was more of a buyer than a seller........I totally understood.
