Hi All ,

I am new to forum need help on Saranac Fire insert Pellet Stove . Problem begins with Fuse blow up whenever stove starts . After burning 3 to 4 fuse it turned out faulty igniter . Replaced the faulty igniter with new tested igniter. I Tested new igniter with direct power to it and glows orange .

Problem stove have now Igniter is not working when stove starts .Manual fire to pellets and stove is working fine .

Likely the triac and /or opto isolater on the control board that controls the igniter is fried. The wires between the control board and the igniter could also be broken.

Thanks Smokey . yeah also thought control board could be the faulty one . Is it fixable ? does anyone know where to get new one for reasonable price . Thanks again .

Try these folks http://pelletblowers.com/ they offer board evaluation and repair. More than a couple of folks on here also use them for gasket making materials. I've used them for finished 1/8 " combustion blower gaskets. They also sell on ebay.

You could also contact Don2222 via PM as he services and sells parts for that line of stoves. Savannah Heating Products http://savannahheating.com in Canada also carries some parts for that stove.

Ordered the new control board its on the way . bad luck stove front control panel says Saranac but Model is Tasman 40I . do both stove use same control panel?
