I loaded the stove for the night got it going good secondary's firing like crazy left the stove came back to see the air wash glowing in one spot. Stove was at 700 and front air tube was red. It freaked me out so shut it down all the way but it didn't do much since it was open just a hair from fully closed anyway. Glowing has went away on the air wash but its still holding at 700. This might not have been the first time this has happened because I noticed a small indent on the front of the air wash the other day. Funny thing is I never noticed it glowing before.

I've seen a few stoves with the mesh over the airwash like the liberty that were warped. I had never noticed mine glow, but I'm not surprised. The tubes will sure glow at times!

the screen on my lopi freedom air wash was sagging a little right in the middle. it was from one of those rare occasions when the stove got away from me an went well over 700. i tapped it back in place with a hammer. really can't tell anymore.
it looks like it could have used one more spot weld right in the center from the factory

My Liberty has the same problem, air wash sagging

Does anyone know what's behind that screen? Is there anything that could be damaged by an overfire?
