I have a 6 inch Duratech T in my stovepipe setup and its easy enough to clean the vertical part. But getting in the 3 ft horizontal section
is impossible with even my flexible brush.
HAs anyone come up with a good homemade piece that can scrape thru 3 ft of my horizontal entering from
the bottom of the T..??

I clean the horizontal section from the inside, after i remove the stovepipe for cleaning. Removing the pipe is a necessary part of cleaning a tee system. Most every system for that matter.

I removed the flue and the 90 that meets the horizontal section going out to the T. I have my sweep on a rope and push the rope out towards the T from the inside with a broom handle. Walk outside and pull on the rope. It will get tight turning the corner to come down to the clean out but its the best method I could come up with. Gave up on the fiberglass rods. Works for the exterior vertical pipe very well also. Just drop the rope down from the roof and away you go!

I dont want to un assamble. I wish Duratech had left a small port on the end of the hor. tee.

Well it should be disassembled how do you clean the pipe inside without taking it apart? We have various scrapers some homemade some bought to clean these areas but we always pull the pipe to do it

I burn full hot so up to the Duratech should be clean. The horizontal should just have light dust but it can get built up..

Take it apart that is the way it should be done if you cant get to it to brush it out. The only time we dont pull the pipe on a stove is if it is straight up and the stove is such that we can clean every part from the inside.
