Seal off liner at fireplace

Had a woodstove installed into a old fireplace after extending the hearth. New double walled chimney liner was installed. The company put heat proof insulation around the new liner where there was a gap from the existing flue. But didn’t completely seal it.

Question: should I get more insulation and completely seal off the entire space where the liner enters the flue behind the new wood stove? This would help with keeping the liner from cooling due to drafts, but also seal off the ability for the damp air in that space to vent.
