Nice!

How far along was the burn?

Might just be something in the picture but the flue thermometer looks to me like its well into the too hot zone !! Anyone else see that?

The pipe thermometer is about 475 in the pic. Stove was about 600.... I had cut air down and it gets a little hotter then levels off
Ok good to know. To me it looked like it was reading around 600.

I'm still trial and error on the stove . It's totally different from our old Cat stove.
It's hard to get use to the temp rising and I'm cutting air down. But, that's when the secondaries really kick in and it burns for a while! I just get air adjusted and leave it alone until the next load. We love it!!!

Some of the guys here on the forum say that the stove temp is usually around 600 - 700 . That seems pretty much true. I don't usually see my flue temp over 400-475. I'm not sure what the flue temp should be?
I usually keep mine between 300 and 450.

My PE cruises at 600 - 700, then tapers down.

I don't think your temps are outrageous.

You're doing fine. Enjoy the warmth and the light show.

Thanks, as I said its a bit different from our old stove. But still learning. I asked a lot of questions here on the forum before we bought this stove. It will take a little getting use too. So far so good.
All these guys were a big help. Hard to know how these stoves will work sitting in a showroom.

Yep us too. We turn on TV and watch the stove... Lol funny thing is , we didn't watch our old one that often.
We don't turn the TV on, the light from it messes with the ambiance. We did the same with the old stove. In some ways it was nicer because the doors were open. Like camping in the living room.

G'night.

Sleep warm.

I love my summit also. We don't have a blower but it still gets the upstairs good and toasty . The more I learn how to burn it the better it's getting:).
