Hey guys,

I recently got done installing the hearth and have a question about the clearance to the combustible behind the hearth wall.

Right now clearance on the single wall to combustible is 8.5". Does the hearth wall (non-combustible) give me any reduction in clearance from the required 18"?

Thanks

No, it does not unless it has a totally non-combustible wall behind it (like cement block).
