Hey all,

I installed a Brand new Englander 30 wood stove this year. I looked up a break in procedure and followed it. Slowly increasing heat over 3-4 fires. On the 3rd fire I had a very slight amount of what I figured to be smoke in the room with the stove. Wasn’t overbearing but it was enough to set my fire alarm off. I can’t pinpoint where this smoke is coming from. Any help would be appreciated.

Straight through the roof 6inch chimney, from the floor to the top of the chimney is 17ft.

It might be the paint baking in. Has the stove been taken up to at least 500º on the stove top?
