So, I gave up on looking for pellets. I ran 10 bags of TS Pine bedding pellets, but the last few bags kinda sucked. It's warm enough, so I quit for the season.
Now, I gots a Lennox Elite Montage. I did a good sweeping and vacuuming of the inside, brushed as much as I could. PUlled the fire brick off, and got into the heat exchangers. I pulled the combustion blower off and tried to clean it out as much as I could with the brushes I have.
Now, there are 2 ports with covers behind the fire brick...not sure where they go, but got lots of ash inside. I tried by best to suck out anything. So.....
How anal should I get when cleaning? Should I give a good brush and vacuum everything, or scrub down to the metal? Take the auger and room air blower off and clean it? Get a snaking small brush for the weird holes I see on the inside of the stove that go god knows where? They are obviously in a place that you cant get too (like the 2 next to the heat exchangers at the top....maybe 5mm gap between the holes and the tubes. Can't get in there at ALL.
I also snagged a drier lint vent brush, and it works great!
