Spring wood work.

My neighbor across the road own 200 acres of forest he asked if I needed any more wood,although I'm seven years to the good ,I could use some shoulder season wood 2 pines came down this winter,and a huge white oak,which when it fell took a chitload of trees with it. This will be my spring project,pics taken yesterday. Out my driveway on the atv into his and the work begins.

Oblongarm I have the same exact mess with an oak downed. Im taking pics but cant post yet. My brother in law is helping me. Hes using the bigger saw. Same wood involved very large oak and smaller beech and hickory and some small ironwood. Ive been cleaning up around the major pieces. But everything is under major tension. Im cutting smaller diameter back to the bigger. Take lots of pics...I wanna see how you do it.
Youve got more wood, Id like to see how you attack it. My brother in law thinks the trees have been down since Hurricane Irene. The limbs Ive cut so far have sapwood rot pretty far gone. The leaves are still on the tree.

If you can get 1/2 cord or more of the pine done now (c/s/s), it should be gooder to go this fall. Much better if you can put it in the sun and wind.

The pine for sure but that oak mess will take some careful cuttin and strategy,might have to call my buddy in who used to do it for a living,we'll just split the haul 50/50
