Question:
I previous sent an email requesting any information you could provide on a "KES Squire Model 50500". I have been cleaning it and have found the following info stamped on the doors -- "Knight Energy Systems, Pat. Pending."
The only defect appears to be the heat sensor on the base of the stove that connects to the switches for the fan module. New question is where can a replacement heat sensor/switch be obtained? It is about the size of a quarter with flange for two screws holding it on base plate of fan housing and extends through for about a inch with two pigtail connectors sticking up out of plastic base toward switch. When the fan assembly is slide under stove the metal side of the sensor, touches the base of the stove.
Answer:
This is a simple snapstat which can be found at Graingers or many other plumbing and heating supply houses. It turns the fan on at about 115 degrees ad off at 95-105. The top of it is painted black so tht it soaks up heat better.
Another possible source for the motors for Squire Stoves is Stove Parts Unlimited at stoveparts!aol.com
