I'm still making plans for heating my new shop and I've been thinking I'd put in an 8" chimney under the assumption that I can run a bigger stove if necessary. This assumed I could install a 6" stove with a reducer or an 8" stove, but I've read in a number of posts that a 6" stove won't perform as well with an 8" flue. Is it possible to install a 6" SS liner inside 8" Class A? I don't know that I'd actually do that, but in the spirit of considering all the angles, I'd like to know if it's possible.
thanks,
-john
