When I put the stove on setting 1 the number 4 lights up with it? What does this mean? Will it kick to #4 once and awhile?

#1 and #4 together indicates your #1 lowest setting.
The manual explains if you have a manual. In short, #1 by itself is
normal low. #1 and #4 is #1-lo, and #1 and #5 is #1-hi.

Oh, and it will not advance to #4. If you press "feed trim"
your light should light up #1, then press again to go
to #1 and #5, then again will bring you back thru #1 low and #1 hi levels.
Once your back to just #1, you can press "heat level" and you can
advance up to #4 if you wish................. but I warn you, #4 will cook you out
of the room!
