Nope....at the risk of this post jinxing me.

Going into 4th year, burn 24/7 from Fall
to Spring. Still on original ignitor.
I don't turn the stove on/off other than to
clean it once a month.

I have a Hastings...installed Fall 05. Still on the original igniter.
I've heard of Harman Igniters being prone to early burn out, but I don't think this is a common problem with St Croix.

Consider setting the thermostat in such a way that you are limiting starts to once or twice per day and you'll probably start stretching those igniters out.

Well this year tried to leave stove on 24/7 and the ignitor burned out already.

Only turn off to clean or if the wind blows just wrong - blows it out.

don't know why they aren't lasting longer. OAK bringing in moisture?

That sucks. I shut the stove off once every three weeks
for a thorough cleaning. Other than that it runs 24/7.
I keep the thermostat set high enough so it doesn't shut down.

no problem with my prescott exl. been running it for 3 years 24/7. the only time i shut it down is for weekly cleaning. ( I was a fire fighter seen way too many fires. better to be safe that sorry.)
