We're thinking a steam shower would be nice. The master bathroom already has a 3x5ft walk-in shower. It's very dated and horribly. mildewed, so we're thinking of ripping that out. I'm thinking of a modular kit, for various reasons. For one, I don't have tile skills, but I can easily handle the electrical and plumbing for a kit. Also, we like the idea of high-quality acrylics and metal instead of tile - a more modern look, and probably better for mildew. It looks like a size that'd fit nicely into the space (after tearing out the existing shower) is fairly common. Here's one example:
