I changed a few gaskets on my stove more than eight years ago. I had a few issues that had me replacing each a few times before I got them to work. If I recall it was the graphite rope didn't hold well, For years the cement holding the door gasket, in a small area, failed. It's been working because the compression seals it well enough.

So I'm thinking of doing it again. We discussed this years ago. I was thinking about using high temp silicon. Anyone do this? What did you use?
