Stove install question-pipe

We want to get the Temco in this summer so we can use it this coming season. The problem is...we can't figure out a chimney system. It's an 8" pipe. The problem is the room it's going in. It's a 70'sish era sunporch. The roof isn't a typical stick built system. In fact, we can't see how it's constructed-but the space between the "ceiling" and exterior roof is only about 3-5". It does have a pitch. There was a stove there before, but the piping was gone when we bought the Cottage. An attic shield would probably be too tall.

That can be a challenge. I'm wondering if you would be best using a shallow, 12" cathedral support box there.

My support box fits inside the ceiling framing, but sounds like yours may be different.
Attic insulation shield is about 16-18" tall.
Pics, or did you already do that and I missed them?

And the inside, you can see the "ceiling" follows the pitch. The whole thing seems to be aluminum.

Yes, this will need a short cathedral support box to be in that location. How high is the ceiling at that point?

I'm wondering if it would be possible to move it deeper into the room? That is going to be a short chimney which could mean poor drafting or it is going to mean a 10ft silver rocket above the roof with lots of bracing.

It's about 4' from the connector on the top to the ceiling. Can't really move in further, it's a shallow room and any further in would be too close to the only seating area in there.

Better check the stove requirements. Some want more height. Not sure what rules govern the Temco.
