I've emptied it of pellets. Had it totally disassembled, thoroughly cleaned, lubricated and reassembled. I unplugged it. I sealed off the vent on the outside and put a bucket of DampRid in the burn chamber. My last actual burn was May 30th. I hope to last until at least October before burning again.

I love the warm glow of the fire at night but I'm also quite glad for the warm weather that's finally arrived.

That's my project for this morning ............... It did come on once last weekend, Saturday night, but I think I'm safe now. See ya all next fall, have a good summer

I just loaded the air conditioner with electrons for the night.

Needed a drink of water so I just waved a cup in the humid air outside.

My ass is growing moss.

Turn your A$$ to the east for while to ward off the moss ;)

We get that issue here in the PacNw too.

Everything that faces north has moss or some form of green gunge on it.

We have yet to clean the stoves this Spring, but I think we are about done with fire season.

If we do need a fire, it will be a small spot fire to take the chill off, and not anything big.

I need to clean the big Whit and do some maintenance on the old girl.

Weather dudes are talking rain by weeks end ???????
Maybe a small fire ?????

Watch out for that MOSS A$$ STUFF bad case of that could take a while to scrub off.

Yesterday was moss day here but not hot out just warm enough to stick to yourself. Last evening it all changed in a matter of minutes, the air then felt coool. Today 70 deg F and dry, light breeze, perfect ! It could stay like this all summer for all I care.

I have not cleaned the stove beyond normal cleanings, just the vent pipes. We aren't safe from burning a spot fire here till later in June generally. Then we good till late Sept or Oct depending on the year we are delivered.

Cleaned my second stove up for the season. Hopefully it won't need to be used until late this fall, this spring hung on forever and one day we got up to summer weather.
Burned up a half ton of next years stash. Ah well they make more pellets !

Dark, dank, and dreary! Fired up the pellet - 58 degrees in the house. One weird item, the distribution motor was stickey or something, one half slam of the top loading door freed it. Will look at when I clean sometime between tomorrow and fall.

Not yet here

We tossed a fire in the little whit last night and it ran till morning about 8 am

Been chilly today, but the sun angle is high enough to warm things between the passing clouds.

Summer is not here quite yet
