I'll be swapping out the old Riteway for a Lopi Liberty. Should I keep the stove pipe damper or eliminate it?
Thanks-
Ken

Can you describe the flue setup? That's what usually determines the need for a damper.

The flue goes about 15' straight up. I was thinking that messing with a flue damper would negate the proper controls on the newer stove?

Lose the damper, you won't need it. Rick

Agreed, run the stove without the damper.
