I've been burning for two seasons now first with a small pedestal stove then this fall upgraded to a drolet myraid which I love. My only problem now is getting enough humidity in the air to be comfortable. Currently I've been using a cast iron Dutch oven with very
little effect. Is there a better way other than a humidifier.

Get a evaporative humidifier. There's just a fan, so cheep to run. The stove top water pot is only good for potpourri.

Shower a lot and don't use the vent . . . dry clothes on a clothes rack inside the house?

I do both of these things occasionally . . . but still use a humidifier . . . doesn't really use up much electricity.
