Jotul Greenville V2 installed in December. I didn't expect the paint to do this after 1 season. When I recently wiped clean the top of the stove to remove a little ash, I noticed the paint was almost powdered and little black specks just flake off. Could this be a defect or could this have happened from over-firing my stove?

Probably not, sometimes paint isn't put on properly and it'll peel. Simple touch up repaint of the stove top. Jotul I think uses satin black paint, but matte black would be fine too. Stay warm.
