Hey guys, I got a magnetic thermometer a few weeks ago and have been
monitioring my temps. I have a regency 2400 insert with the thermo on the
front above the handle. Just wondering what the relationship between that temp
and the actual flue temp would be.

Thanks

Ed

Stove body and door temps don't directly correlate to flue temps. During secondary combustion, the stove body often gets hotter as the flue temp goes down. That makes it hard to say what the temps are relative to the door temp.

Oh yeah,

My insert normally runs about 300-330 with the therm. on
the door. Have seen it as high as 525 for short periods.

My I2400 runs about 300 to 400 but usually at around 300. But I am still learning...
