I have a pleasant hearth ph50cabps. When it is off,hopper lid open,it goes into fire up mode and control knob is in off position . If hopper lid was not open it would drop pellets an fire up . What could be wrong. Did put a new knob on it , still does it.
Stove tries to fire up..

No the stove is off the off position on the control should not do anything at all
