String trimmer's string

I have a new Husqvarna 223l trimmer.
What's the most durable/strong string to use?
Should I stick with Husqvarna ?
Is there a shape to avoid..
I have some older star looking string...

SM, I found a pkg of square string that is very strong. I was told that the corners do the work probably similar to the star string you are using.
If i ever run out i'll be looking for it again. Not able to tell you the brand right now but will look next time i get out that way. It has performed
very well for me.

Soak your string in water, it'll last twice as long.

I just bought a big roll of Echo string when I picked up my trimmer, it sits in a bucket of water outside my garage. Not even halfway through it yet.. maybe I'll get something different next time just for shits & giggles.

I use oregon square with the aramid core and its size is 105. Works good in my stihl fs100rx.

I would imagine the sizes/shapes are designed for different applications.

Braided string is tough, too. I'm still working on a roll we got over 3 years ago.

I work for a lawn care service on the side; the most durable and longest lasting string we have found is the Husqvarna brand string.
