Summit Install Critique Needed

I upgraded from old Vermont Casting to PE Summit Classic ( with surprise free ash pan as the dealer "ran out of stoves without") and need a little expert advice on my stovepipe connection please.
Thimble is not crimped.... Have a 3" offset to right due to column on left side of stove. My plan thus far is to exit stove with swivel elbow to make the offset then use a small 3" straight piece with an elbow crimped on both ends to make the final connection.
the 3" straight piece could also come out of the stove before the offset. Any other ideas or comments welcome.

The area looks unfinished, what are your long term plans? It won't look great with the offset but you can change it in the future.

Unfinished basement that will never be finished. Not too worried about the offset and really can't see how to change it. My vermont casting had two 8" 45's coming off the thimble somehow and made the offset. I thought a 90* swivel elbow would work out of the thimble but couldn't bend them to make the offset and 90* bend. Then I figured out that I could take care of offset with swivel elbow and use a straight 90* elbow into thimble.

Maybe move the stove forward in front of the post an inch? Or move it forward and rotate it 90 deg to face to the left? Note that with an uninsulated basement about a third of the stove's output will be heading outdoors thru the walls. That means burning an extra cord for every two burned.

I realize having stove in uninsulates basement is not ideal especially with insulated ceilings (radiant in floor above). But that is really ony option right now. I did figure out I could use a 90 off the thimble turned 45 to the right then 6" of straight pipe to 45 angled down. This allows stove to be centered away from left column. Will post pics when complete.

Bought a few extra pieces of stove pipe and played with them for about a half hour before getting it right. 6" stubby out from thimble was the difference maker.

Nice! I'm not a fan of the adjustable...doesn't seem very solid.
