Hello everybody. Already purchased a T-4. Wondering if we will be underpowered this winter. Kansas plains, (really cold, sometimes down to double digits, horrific wind). Live in an updated (more or less) old farmhouse. Downstairs has approximately 750 sq. feet, (two major rooms, a front living room and a back parlor about the same size, where the stove is). Upstairs has about the same. We are on Propane until now, and this will be primary when we can. We keep the house low (like 58-60 as we are both cold weather people). I understand the issues of using 18" wood in this stove, but will this be feasible enough for our needs? I am assuming some heat will find it's way upstairs, albeit, not much, but we sleep with blankets mostly. Ceiling fans downstairs/upstairs assist to circulate. Any comments or suggestions, other than it's too late?
