HI all!
I am installing a new wood stove with the Selkirk 6" double wall telescoping stove pipe. I am installing a Lennox stove using an 8" to 6" stove pipe adapter which fits right on top of the stove. It is flat with a short ring around to top that my stove pipe slides over. I have uploaded a couple of pics which should help.
I have 2 questions:
The adapter has holes in it which don't match up to the holes in my telescoping pipe. (I slid the pipe up to expose the top of the adapter so that you could see it) Do I need to drill new holes in the adapter or will the stove pipe just sit there once the other installation screws are installed?
The telescoping stove pipe has three holes in the outer pipe. Of course it has no holes in the inner pipe. I was told to use the very short screws that came with the stove pipe to kind of "pinch" the inner pipe, in other words, don't drill holes in the inner pipe. THis doesn't make sense to me as the inner pipe is right against the outer pipe so I can't get those screws in there at all. Do I drill those holes to match and screw it together?
Those are my last questions. Everything else is DONE and I am waiting to fire up! Thanks for the help in advance!
