hi,

at the time we testing diff kind of pellets.
starting with "New England" 6us$/bag in caribou ME
3 bag are gone in only 2.5 Day's <>
they burn a lot cooler as the brand from QC (2Bag's 3 days)
more ash
this pm we will start after a cleanout
with 3 bags of Green Supreme 4,65us$/bag

follow up...:ZZZ

Greene Supreme are the exact same pellet as "New England"....you will probably get the same poor results.

What other pellets are available in your area?

northeast from ashland ME; out of stuck
there are 3 diff brands at Walmart
out normal brand is (broken link removed to http://www.valfei.com/heating/default.aspx?lang=2)
on ambiance we need 2Bag/s for 3 days and less on ash

Walmart here only has one brand TreBio $4.96 a bag , the first ones I bought are very dark almost a green color. They burn ok but not very hot and soooo much ash its not funny :(
The next bunch they got are very light colored and are very hot and very little ash. Same brand but a much better pellet, even better that the Eastern embers.

sorry don't know the names at WM in Presque Isle ME

the Pic shows the stove after 14h with the Greene Supreme  it was only 3/4 bag of Greene Supreme i think i will search a person with a pelletstofe that i'm dislike and make him a present of 2 bags ....

ash that we have with the AMBIANCE after 2-3 Bags. now the stove is clean and filled up with the AMBIANCE well make new pic's next day ....

i'm a little bit confused
after we go back to the AMBIANCE the glas is dirty too
i replace the door and glas gasket b4 and add a 90` elbow at the end of the exe pipe
at the moment we have behind the stove a 45` then 1food straight horizontal and the 90` open end to the ground
on the same outside temp we burn 1 bag now a day (b4 2bags in 3 days)

with confused x-mas wishes
fred

the glass was 90% cleaner b4 we start the test and b4 we put the new gaskets in :(((
you can't clean the glass with out a chemical oven cleaner :(
what's running wrong now ???

I.m not an expert. and I don't know a thing about your stove , but looking at the pic of how black the glass is looks like the fire needs a little more air.

Don't have your stove either. There was another thread from someone with black glass issues as well that might be worth reading through. https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/black-glass.101460/ It seems like more of a problem than pellets, even though I personally think NEWP are horrible.
Another thread on your stove that might be helpful https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/drolet-eco-45-weak-blower.100385/ One of the experts on this site doesn't seem to like your brand of stove, didn't explain why. I see you just got this stove Nov. 2012. Did it ever burn clean? It it never did, less likely it is a cleanliness issue, although burning NEWPs there could be hidden ash somewhere. Sorry can't be very helpful.

Don't have your stove either, however, your pics of the gasket are interesting. I don't see an air wash anywhere which could explain why the glass is so dirty. The pellets as everyone else has been saying are high ash in any stove so I don't see an issue there.

I don't see an air wash anywhere

Just looked up specs for stove at northern tool lists an air wash "to keep the glass clean". Wish I could help more.

thx folks for your input will try more "air"

the old glass gasket was only on the topside from the glass but the manual say complete around.

on the door gasket when the door was closed you can push a postcard in :(

Did it ever burn clean?

with the old gasket yes
i read the links and we clean the "netz" in front of the blower all 2 days with the shop vac
last weekend i make a "all ofer cleaning"

thx for your halp

oki we try now in the last days 3 bags of crabbe pellets
very nice heat feels that they burn a lot hotter as the other brands
ash amount is ok
for us at our new no1.

thx to all with your input

Happy New Year glad all is well now.
