I got a hit on CL for a local guy selling some seasoned and split wood that he needed to get rid of. He ended up being just a few miles down the road from me. It was a good deal and local so I met up with him today and immediately he says, "Hey, I know you, you live at XYX Road, you're the firewood guy with the huge stacks in your yard, what do you need more wood for?" Also "What lawn service do you use, because your lawn looks great this year!" I'm like 1) No such thing as too much wood. 2) I mow myself, thanks. It's good to know there are still people out there that recognize and appreciate hard work.
Ohhh gotta love small towns. Worked out great, made a friend, got a few truck loads of wood and some other things thrown in. Moisture meter on the wood was 15%, mostly cherry. He then offers me his split pine that needs to go for free. Just in time for bonfire season
and I'm now the "Firewood Guy". Thanks Hearth.
