This is a picture from a PV job we just completed in Morgantown, WV. I couldn't help but take this pic showing the coal plant in the background.

I was testing a 980 megawatt combined cycle natural gas plant a few years ago. There were power cables running all over the place and just the lighting load for all the high bay and outdoor lights probably were a couple of hundred KW. Off in a corner of the site there was a environmental monitoring station with a 100 watt panel, charge controller and battery running some electronics. Definite irony.
