In my never ending quest to transform my Big E into a viable instrument of less torture!
On shutdown this wretched machine simply runs on, and on, far more than an hour after the flame is out.

Is there a sensor that governs this, or is this behavior programmed?

Change out both of your Snap disks.. I found when one goes the other is not far behind... I started changing them every few years as i find the stove seems to run more consistent with new ones.. Make sure you get them in the proper spot on my stove i found the previous owner switched them and i had random issues for the first year...
