Sounds like my house I get to play with the Kubota to snowblow the driveway too - which usually means cold hands and feet for me The new mitts from last Christmas do help though...

What? You get to play with the cool things? When I was married, the Ex got to play with the equipment (plows, 4-wheelers, snow blowers etc), while I got all the manual shoveling; which would be 1 to 1.5 hours of manual labor (and I'm no wuss - there was a whole lot of it). Oh yeah, and if he wasn't done because he had stopped to talk to the neighbor for 30 minutes of "working", then I shoveled the paths that he normally snow blowed.

Now that I have my own house, I get to snow blow. Woohoo! That is fun except that last snow that was 13" of slush - it kept clogging the chute so I ended up shoveling way more than I wanted to. Usually, there isn't too much shoveling here though - only about 80 feet and a couple of steps - easy compared to my old house.

He said he bought it for himself but the neighbours know the true story ... She's mine. So much better to cut the 2 acres of grass than the push mower that took me three days! We've got about a kilometer of driveway (includes a quick plow of the neighbour's driveway too - his Gramps did the same for us when we first bought our house).

The table and miter saws and router are mine. We have his/her Paslodes - framing/finishing. I had to borrow his framing one and the grinder to build the pellet palace that holds 3 tons.

Been married 31 years and learned long ago that I should just go ahead and do things for myself. I'm not very skilled at nagging

Go for it, my wife bought herself a Milwalkee combo 24 volt drill and Sawsall for father days she says !! LOL Been married 41, we do it like you. But she won't go near the router table , thickness planer, band saw, table saw. etc etc. Stationary tools scare her, too much power I guess, except the chipper/ shredder, she loves that thing.

How true. I demolished the exterior walls of this house over the summer to install new, better, insulation and vapor barrier. I bought myself drills, router, circular saw, jigsaw, 10" sliding compound miter saw, air compressor and portable air tank, saw horses etc. And the Ex gave me a spare reciprocating saw that I used when I replaced the front door (frame and all) and again when I installed the St. Croix thimble (see how I brought pellet stoves into it? ).

Ha hahahahaha! ROTFLMAO! Y'all are killing me . Looking at the pellet stove while laughing. Chris you could later come back and replace all those mail boxes. Not a total loss. You could use all of the busted up posts for firewood or have one helluva bon fire party. That is movie material! White death and mail boxes flying with a ticked off pregnant lady driving.

My wife doesn't touch the pellet stove and I don't touch the washer/dryer. As far as snow removal goes I'd rather be outside taking care of that alone while she is in the house making me a lasagna and a nice cocktail or two.

My husband doesn't touch the washer/dryer either - I replaced the drum bearing and pump on the last one! Finally bought a new set of front loaders after about 20 years and 6 kids later. And I still make the better lasagna But he makes a wonderful omelette!

Got used to Hubby working away so often that I'm pretty independent. He's pretty good; when I ask for help, he's there....
