Thelin Echo not burning as hot

Had my Thelin Echo for four years now. I clean it every two weeks very thoroughly. Lately, the pellet feed rate seems to have slowed down and the stove burns at a much lower output of heat and the flame is much diminished. Fan speeds seem to be the same, but the amount of pellets getting into the burn pit is lower. The auger is turning and I have the trim rate up to max. Before this the trim would be set to half or 3/4. Is it possible for the auger to slow down but not completely burn out or seize up?

You mean the auger is dying? Ive watched it turn, it doesn't stop but it might be losing rpms?

By the way, same pellets alll winter.

Also, does seem to burn better when I have the pellet hopper lid open for a bit..could there be an issue with airflow that is causing poor burning?

Common on dc motors to slow down when dying,usually the combustion/combo motor on your stove.If you had spec's you could time it and check.

Take out the T-1 Sensor out of the combustion chamber and check to see if it is clogged.Unhook the wire harness labeked T-1 & You want to unscrew the Sensor with a 7/16" wrench while holding back on Brass fitting with a 9/16" wrench in combustion chamber.once sensor is out check to see if sensor and fitting is clogged. At worst if your sensor is cracked it may need to be replaced. If all is good their the best bet is to get Voltages off of all motors at start up and run mode when you can adjust High, Medium & Low. Thanks, will try. If T1 sensor is bad and needs replacement, is there one I need to buy specifically for the Thelin Echo, or is there a universal type?

All the T-1 Sensors are the same.

My auger motor was in need of oil, so it ran slow enough that the fire died at idle. A little oil cured it. I timed the motor, and it was running at 75% of proper speed. That was enough to really lower the heat output a lot!
