I’m wanting to install a condar fluegard in my telescoping double wall stove pipe. They recommend a little higher than 18” however I would have four layers of pipe at this height. It looks like my options are at 14” or 37” high. Which would be better. I’m assuming I don’t want to go through all four layers. Thanks

Is the stove on a raised hearth or at floor level? Which would be closer to eye level and easier to read?

Should be ok. The temp is relative to the position, but double-wall doesn't lose heat as rapidly as single-wall.
