Catching up on the weather, it will be all the way down to 26F with 20 mph winds here in NE Georgia. A two dog night for me.
Then I looked at New England and the Midwest and y'all may need 3 or more dogs in your bed.

"[Morning Briefing] Significant Icing along with tree damage/power outage concerns across the interior today with a flash freeze expected along and southeast of the Boston to Providence corridor. "Otto told NPR he expects cold winter weather to continue to envelop much of the eastern U.S. for the next few weeks. "Looking at the Climate Prediction Center's outlook over the next one to two weeks, it's favoring high confidence for well below average temperatures over the eastern half of the nation," he said."

Thank goodness for wood heat for those that have it.

Meanwhile folks in Canada are saying, "We're outside sunbathing".

It might be a three-dog night, but I have a one-dog bed.

I used to have a big old coon dog that seemed like she was about 9 feet long and made of elbows when she was on the bed, but the new dog is a little more polite! :)

Not much of a storm here in CT. Temps are average. There have been ongoing predictions for a polar vortex to sweep across the region in early February which is supposed to settle in frigid air for a couple of weeks. A by product of El Niño ya know. We’re rationing our splits in anticipation of the vortex. Been burning more pellets since we were light on seasoned wood. Good to have options.

Got up to 3 degrees up in VT but not for long. Its -1 now at 6:00PM, and the wind chill is supposedly -18F at the moment, but its 70 degrees in the living room. After getting 12-18" of snow today I'm awfully glad I brought extra wood in!

I have days like this in mind when its >80 degrees and I'm splitting wood.

In Central NY we had 16 inches of snow fall overnight. Now the wind is kicking up, and it’s 2 degrees. I just took some trash outside and it’s -18 with the wind.

Running both my Insert and my Pellet Stove. House is cozy 72 degrees. On nights like this one, I am very glad to have the ability to heat with wood, and a stack of seasoned wood. I am very thankful to be home with my family.

It is a little chilly here Eastern Ontario
12 in. of snow blowing around
Temp tonight -30::C with a wind chill of -43::C
Dam and just cut a hole in the ice so I could take a bath
