I have to install a through the wall kit on a small cabin and am noticing that the tee and bracket will likely not give me enough clearance to get past the soffit on my roof. This seems to be a common issue (I've noticed people having to build custom brackets etc). Any advice? The elbow are sort of expensive so would rather not do that. Are there extensions I can add to the bracket to bring it out further from the wall before it goes up? Thanks

Long horizontal sections are detrimental to draft. What about going straight up in the interior. That would function and look better and would likely cost less. Another option is to notch the soffit.

Yeah I wondered about cutting out the soffit, but just want to make sure that doesn't compromise the roof at all
Done right it should not, but do look hard at going straight up in the house if possible.
